Finally our 7th Water Well!

What up fam! Thanks to anyone and everyone who has helped us along the way to build these water wells in Central African Republic!

Anyone who has been to our merch table has seen our blood:water bucket and the six of us wholeheartedly thank all of you who have donated Dollars or even just been at a show!

Work Done
When the team arrived at the village, they discovered that the hand pump had been broken a LONG time. After pulling the pump, the men found problems that resulted in replacing many of the parts inside the well. After cleaning every part to the pump and making all the pertinent part replacements, the pump worked well.

People Served
475 people are served by this well repair.

Community Interaction
During their time in the community, the team taught about hygiene and sanitation - particularly the virtue of hand washing and using of latrines. Hand washing and using of latrines significantly reduces the transmission of disease and will do much to reduce the diarrheal disease in the village even as they are getting safe water from the repaired hand pump. The well that was repaired is used by both a church and a school, and so the team spent extra time talking with the students and the ministers at the church. Many people asked for prayer related to their health. The team shared stories from the Bible about healing as encouragement to these people and prayed with the people in the community.

Very Super Mega Close!!

Hey everybody, guys and gals, poppers and moshers!

We are home right now putting the finishing touches on the new album. Recording two more new songs to cap this puppy off as a FULL LENGTH album! We are so pumped to get this sucker out! The NEW estimated time of departure for the new album is aiming for October due to our decision to make it a full length!

We want to thank everyone who came and partied with us on the Bamboozle Roadshow and The Summer Camp for the Dope Awesome Kids Tour! Met so many new peeps and made new friends while getting to see alot of our favorite people in America!

My Doctors results

The number of people who have found out about the pains in my body, and the number of people that care is mind-blowing. Thank you to anyone who has thought, hoped, prayed or sent good vibes to me this means so much. It is a little wierd bc I am not sick, or in a bad situation, I have just been touring nonstop for almost 4 years now and these pains have all added up and gone untreated. We have a little time off and I am using it to give my body the attention he has been begging for for a while now. Anys now thats out of the way, here is whats up:

I have lower back pain that is semi-sharp and causes me pain most of the day and it shoots into might right shoulder and both side of my neck.

My left knee just recently started to have a warm sharp pain behind the knee cap and pops.

My right should has a tear and causes my range of motion behind my back to be almost obselete (like the scrub behind the back motion)

All this is almost more detail than I wanna give but because of all the tweets I have gotten I felt it was a good idea to inform all the sweet people concerned, so you dont worry.

HERE ARE THE RESULTS:

I was born with my feet facing each other and had to wear a pair of shoes to bed with a bar in between to straighten my feet out, this was actually to my shock my hip not feet that were casuing my feet to face each other.

My neck pain is from what is easily referred to as a straight neck which means my neck has no curve and this is from a birth defect in the anatomy of one of my neck vertbrae.

My hip and back pain is from a bridge or extra bone in my hip resulting in Sachalization of the lumbar or a straight back no curve to absorb shock so my spine is taking all the impact with each step.

I will find out later this week how to treat the neck and back pain. Been doin therepy with electric shock, heat, roller table, and decompression everyday so far.

Well, next the shoulder doctor took an MRI and I have a tear in the right posterior superior labral tear which can be treated with 4 weeks of rehab and prescription anti inflammatory medicine.

As far as my knee I will get and mri this week or early next to tell me whats going on there possibly chondromalacia.

Thanks all of you reading this for your concern, this is only to inform, not to whine I love you all and do not like seeing you worry. If you are a healthy, active, athletic, person, we are truly blessed give thanks for it, tomorrow may never come its a blessing not a promise.. :)

p.s. From now on i’LL just be booking personal singing hangouts at school lunch periods, birthday parties, family reunions etc. This is much less injury prone way of seeing you all lol that was a jaykay.

There’s been so much news lately, right?! ….I know, not really. Don’t worry, I’m not holdin’ out on you.
The Summer Camp For the Dope Awesome Kids tour just ended, and today FTSK played Summerfest in Dallas.

Now it’s time to finish The Weekend: Saturday! And if you didn’t watch the Catherine Powell interview below, the tentative release date for the album is September 28th. Hopefully that will remain the date.
EDIT: The release date of The Weekend: Saturday has been moved to October 19th.
